About Scrap Market

Scrap Market helps people find a licensed scrap metal yard near them. Our listings come from the public register of scrap metal dealers held by the Environment Agency, which councils keep up to date as they issue licences.

We show only site licences, the type that lets a business buy scrap at a fixed yard, and only licences that were valid when we last checked on 1 November 2026. Mobile collectors are not listed.

Information can change. Councils can revoke licences and yards change their hours, so check with the yard before you travel. If something is wrong, tell us.

Scrap Market is independent. It is not run or endorsed by the Environment Agency or any council.
